NaTran R&I is a major partner dedicated to the optimization and transformation of gas infrastructures. As an innovative R&D&I and operational expertise center within NaTran, NaTran R&I consolidates its scientific excellence through numerous collaborations with laboratories, public bodies and industrial groups. Our experts also collaborate with their counterparts in international cooperation structures. Our aim is to enable our partners and customers to benefit from these collaborations by pooling our resources, skills and laboratories. This enables us to offer them collaborative projects with high added value.

Our main customer partners

Elengy owns and operates three LNG terminals in France: Montoir-de-Bretagne on the Atlantic coast, and Fos Tonkin and Fos Cavaou on the Mediterranean coast. They receive LNG by ship and send natural gas to the transmission networks.

As France's main gas distribution network operator, GRDF distributes gas to over 11 million customers every day, regardless of their supplier.

Storengy, an ENGIE subsidiary, is Europe's leading natural gas storage operator and a major player in the production and storage of renewable gases.

Together with NaTran, Téréga is one of France's two gas transmission system operators.

The Groupe Européen de Recherches Gazières (GERG) brings together a number of European gas companies.

GTI is a leading research, development and training organization that has been tackling the world's energy and environmental challenges by developing technological solutions for consumers, industry and governments for nearly 80 years.

NYSEARCH is a member-funded committee focused on education and training, technology research and development, operations, planning and public awareness of natural gas in the northeastern United States.

PRCI is a collaborative research and development organization based in the USA, dedicated to the piped energy transmission industry.

ESPCI Paris - PSL is an original Grande École of engineering, an internationally renowned research center and a powerful generator of innovation for industry.

Ineris is the national public referent for technological risks and industrial pollution. Its missions cover the safety of industrial activities on sites and territories; the hazards of chemical substances and their impact on humans and biodiversity; the risks associated with the implementation of the energy transition and the circular economy.

The Laboratory for Innovation in New Energy Technologies and Nanomaterials (LITEN) is a CEA research institute dedicated to new energy technologies, based mainly at the Grenoble science park.

Gas in Focus aims to shed light on the role of gas, giving everyone access to consolidated, educational and reliable information. Founded by NaTran and Sia Conseil, this natural gas observatory is the industry's reference guide.

NaTran is one of Europe's leading gas transmission operators and a global expert in gas systems.

Launched in 2016, NaTran Open Innovation Factory approach aims to find innovative operational answers to technical or cross-functional issues encountered by NaTran business lines and to facilitate their implementation within the company. VSEs, SMEs, start-ups, ETIs, laboratories, schools... All your ideas are welcome!
